About
JUSTINE HORNSHAW

I am a qualified teacher with over seventeen years’ experience across the 3-18 age range. This has been in mainstream schools and as a Social and Emotional Development therapist for students with special educational needs. I have a bachelor’s degree in Education (BEd Hons) from the University of Cambridge.
Additionally, my training in therapy has enabled me to work within a range of healthcare settings, including a hospice, a BUPA care home for the elderly and MIND, the mental health charity. I hold a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling Studies.
I have travelled extensively with my husband and two teenage daughters, and lived and worked abroad, including for a counselling charity involved with supporting expatriates. This enabled me to embrace a diverse range of cultures and nationalities. Before embarking on a career in teaching, I worked as a private Nanny. I enjoy meeting new clients online* or in their own homes. I am calm, empathic and passionate about helping others’ find balance. To facilitate this, I am resourced by a varied career profile, containing a range of complementary and holistic therapy training and experience.
I am proud to be a registered KG Hypnobirthing practitioner (DipHB KGH), a premier training course accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. I graduated with Distinction from the British School of Meditation (Dip BSoM) where I am an accredited teacher. Additionally, I am trained as a Solution Focused Hypnotherapist (HPD, DSFH), Birth and Postnatal Doula, Neuro-Linguistic Programme practitioner (NLP Prac) and as a breastfeeding supporter with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers (ABM). I am also trained in Perinatal Education and Practice, having gained a Certificate of Higher Education qualification with the NCT Charity & the University of Worcester.
To continue evolving my professional development and in order to support my personal wellbeing, I have also studied Reiki (to Practitioner Level 2) and Quantum Touch. I hold an enhanced certificate with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
